Gelish is the original brush-in-bottle gel. It applies as easy as regular nail lacquer and cures in both LED and UV lamps. With meticulous application it can last up to 3 weeks without chipping or peeling. Removal is a cinch in just 10mins!

Gelish Application:
Step 1: Meticulous Nail Prep
 - ensuring to push the cuticle from the nail plate and remove all surface contaminants with a cleanser.
Step 2: Gelish Foundatio Soak-Off Base Gel Application - ensure to shake the bottle to mix and remove excess product from the brush before application. Apply the base coat to the nail plate and ensure to cap the free edge. Cure for 10 sec/LED light or 1 min/UV light.
Step 3: Gelish Colour Coat Application - ensure to shake bottle vigorously and remove excess product from the brush by wiping it on the bottle's neck. Apply one very thin coat of colour to the nail plate and ensure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 sec/LED light or 2 min/UV lamp. Repeat step 3 for a second coat.
Step 4: Gelish Top It Off Soak-Off Sealer Gel Application - ensure to shake the bottle to mix and remove excess product from the brush. Apply one very thin coat of top to the nail plate and ensure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 sec/LED light or 2 min/UV lamp. Remove the tacky/sticky inhibition layer with a lint free pad soaked with 99% isopropyl alcohol or nail cleanser.
Step 5: Rehydrate - ensure you rehydrate the nail plate and cuticles with a cuticle oil and repeat this twice daily to maintain and promote longer wear.

Gelish Soak-Off Polish Removal:
Step 1:
Saturate the cotton pad of a remover wrap or foil with an acetone-based remover.
Step 2: Place the pad over the gel and wrap finger. Wait 10-15 mins.
Step 3: Securely grip the finger and apply slight pressure to the fingernail. Using a twisting motion pull the wrap/foil off the finger.
Step 4: Gently push off the remaining gel with an orangewood stick being careful not to scrap the surface layers of the natural nail plate. Remove any product residue with a lint-free pad soaked with remover. If the gel does not come off easily then repeat steps 1-3.
Step 5: Rehydrate the nail and cuticle with a cuticle oil.

This is a nice blue, applies okay but for a more rich blue colour you do have to several thin coats. I also found that is wasn't as sparkly as I thought it would be and as the previous reviewer said you do need to shake well in between coats to get any sparkle or you will find some nails with and some without.

  2. Glossy / Glittery / Pretty Blue. review by Kerry on 20/01/2016

I'm a fussy blue picker... and this one instantly caught my eye. I was in love. The coat is lovely and glossy even under the glitter inside.
The only advice I would give is to No1, apply a fair few coats... as the colour isn't as deep as the pictures shown. I have 2 coats and could happily do another 2 to make the colour deeper. No2. Shake the bottle really well before applying each coat... the glitter adds a wow factor, but unless its shaken well then some nails don't get much on.
